A Maine cleaning team you can count on
Finding a cleaner is one thing. Knowing your home will be cared for week after week is what makes the service worthwhile.
Tyler Pendleton founded Pristine House Cleaning in 2017. We started with several types of cleaning, then deliberately narrowed our focus to residential work. That decision gave us a clearer way to train our employees, refine our checklists, and maintain a consistent standard in the homes we clean.
Today, Pristine has grown into a company of about 30 employees, with our Maine office in Scarborough. Many of our office team members started as cleaning technicians, so the people helping you arrange service understand the work inside your home.
Whether you’re hiring a house cleaner for the first time or replacing a service that became unreliable, we want you to know how your cleaning will be handled, who to contact, and what to expect at the next visit.

House cleaning for your home and schedule
Recurring house cleaning
Recurring service covers kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, dusting, and floor care, giving you a regular appointment for the work that keeps coming back. You can also request individual extras, such as changing sheets or cleaning inside the oven, when your household needs them.
Deep cleaning
We also dust ceiling fans as part of this more detailed visit. One-time deep cleans are available as scheduling allows. For a seasonal refresh, the office can help you choose a full deep clean or selected extras that suit your home.
Move-in & move-out cleaning
Tell us whether the home will be furnished or vacant and when access is available. Cleaning inside the oven or refrigerator is a requested extra. We include those details in your quote so the cleaning plan fits your property and moving schedule.
Why choose Pristine House Cleaning?
Training before independent visits
Every technician completes a background check and a two-week training period before cleaning homes alone. Our written checklists give the team a clear standard to follow on each visit, from cleaning kitchen fixtures to caring for floors and bathroom surfaces. The process helps us carry the same expectations from training into your home.
Support behind your schedule
We aim to keep recurring appointments on the same day and at a consistent time. Field supervisors help cover staff absences, and the office coordinates your service. If you've previously lost a cleaner because they became unavailable, this team support is an important part of what you're choosing with Pristine.
Communication throughout your service
You'll receive a reminder the day before your appointment and an on-the-way text from your technician with arrival information. After each clean, a short survey lets you rate the visit and leave comments. We welcome both positive feedback and concerns, because knowing what matters to you helps us provide a more consistent service.
Supplies and equipment included
Your technician brings a vacuum, mop, and cleaning kit. Before your appointment, tell the office about any surfaces, access limits, or specific tasks you want to discuss. We agree on the cleaning scope with you so you know what is included and which extras need to be requested.
What's included in your cleaning?
Kitchen cleaning
We clean countertops, backsplashes, sinks, and faucets; clean and degrease the stovetop and range hood; and clean appliance exteriors and the inside of the microwave. Tables and chairs are wet-wiped. Cabinet fronts are dusted and spot-cleaned on standard visits and wet-wiped during deep cleans. Cleaning inside an oven or refrigerator is a separate request.
Bathroom cleaning
The checklist covers toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, faucets, mirrors, and countertops. Details include faucet spouts, soap dishes, and toothbrush holders. A standard bathroom cleaning already includes these fixtures; the deeper service adds other detailed surface work around the home instead of leaving basic bathroom care out of routine visits.
Bedrooms and living spaces
We dust throughout the home, including light fixtures, lightly straighten living spaces, tidy beds, and empty and line wastebaskets. Tidying a bed and changing its sheets are different tasks: fresh-sheet changes can be added to your service by request.
Floors and accessible furniture areas
We vacuum and mop floors and vacuum living-room furniture. We also vacuum under the edges of rugs and beneath couches and beds where accessible. If furniture placement limits access to an area, discuss that space when arranging the clean so expectations are clear.
How to get started
Tell us about your home
Send a quote request or call the office. Most quotes can be prepared over the phone. Along with the home details, tell us which type of service you need, the frequency you're considering, and any specific tasks you want included. That lets us discuss the right cleaning level before choosing an appointment.
Start with a deep clean
We'll agree on the cleaning scope, scheduling preferences, and access arrangements. You can be there to let us in or discuss an option such as a keypad or lockbox. Before the appointment, point out areas you especially want us to consider and ask about anything you're unsure is included. Your technician arrives with the vacuum, mop, and cleaning kit.
Settle into a routine
Choose the visit frequency that works for you. We aim to keep the same day and a consistent time as your appointments repeat. The post-cleaning survey stays part of your service, so you have a regular opportunity to tell the office how things are going and identify any area needing attention.

Questions about house cleaning
Do I have to book ongoing cleaning?
No. Recurring cleaning is our main service, but we also accept one-time deep cleans and move-in or move-out jobs when the schedule allows. Let us know your preferred timing when you request a quote.
Can I add a deep clean after regular service has started?
Yes. Some recurring customers schedule an additional deep clean in spring and fall. If only a few areas need attention, ask about requested extras instead. We’ll help you compare those options against the work you want done.
How should I prepare for a cleaning visit?
Confirm how the technician will get into the home and mention any rooms or tasks you want to discuss before the appointment. Light straightening is part of the standard checklist, but if clutter prevents access to surfaces or floors, let the office know. We bring the cleaning supplies and equipment.
What if something needs attention after a visit?
Use the feedback survey sent after your cleaning or contact the office. Tell us which area needs attention so our team can review it with you.
Will I always have the same technician?
Our service is organized around a trained team and a common checklist. We aim for consistent scheduling, but staff coverage may change. If having a particular technician matters to you, discuss that preference with the office; we don’t promise the same person at every visit.
What happens if I need to skip a visit?
Contact the office as early as possible if your plans change. A skipped appointment within 48 hours carries a $50 skip fee. There is also a $125 lockout fee if we cannot access the home, so please keep us informed about access arrangements before cleaning day.
Is there anything outside your cleaning scope?
We do not handle animal or human waste, biohazards, or mold remediation. If a property needs substantial cleanup or construction-related work, explain the situation before booking so we can determine whether it fits our service.
How does Pristine Points work?
The Pristine Points Club returns approximately 5% of your spending in points that can be used toward cleaning and add-ons. Redemptions start at $25 off, and program emails keep you informed about your balance and available rewards.
